Ryanair and Aer Lingus

Ryanair and Aer Lingus

The good health of the cheap flights company Ryanair leads it to expand its domains. The launch of a takeover bid for the airline Aer Lingus shows the expansionary capacity of the Irish company.

Ryanair points out that it already has 17% of Aer Lingus and estimates the OPA operation at 1,480 million euros. Ryanair maintains that the operation is part of the attempt to create a strong airline for Ireland and Europe.

Ryanair's forecasts in the event of a successful takeover bid are optimistic: the new airline product of Ryanair + Aer Lingus would have a movement of 50 million passengers per year, a figure that would be close to that of large traditional airlines, such as Lufthansa- SAS- Swiss (with 75), or Air France- KLM (with 70).
