Internet advertising revenue increased 22% in 2011 to $ 31 billion, according to a report by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).

The last three months were also the best quarter of all time at $ 9 billion, a 20% increase from the same quarter in 2010.
Search is still the biggest piece of the pie, with $ 14.8 billion in revenue, compared to $ 11.7 billion in 2010.
Mobile Internet advertising revenue
The mobile sector is the fastest growing sector, more than doubling from $ 6 billion in 2010 (the first year the report included mobiles in its study) to $ 1.6 billion in 2011. Display advertising grew 35%, reaching 11,100 million dollars in general, of which 1,800 million corresponded to the video format.
