Collaboration between Google and Eurostar

According to an article published this month on marketingweek.co.uk, Eurostar and Google are launching a mapping service that will allow users to find maps of Europe at train stations. The “Explore Europe” access points will be available at St Pancras International station.

Travelers will be able to select a bird's eye view of anywhere in Europe and “plummet” to famous sites like Disneyland Paris.

According to Sarah McDonald of Google: "The sheer number of users visiting Google Earth and Google Maps today indicates that people want to explore their travel destinations before they arrive."

Eurostar Communications Director Simon Montague added: "We want our travelers to use the departure lounge as a space that also stimulates, educates and relaxes them."

Access points will be free and designed by Land Design Studio and software developer Studio Simple.
