Natural remedies for skin blemishes

The spots on the skin can appear for several reasons: hormonal imbalances, genetics, poor diet, undue exposure to the sun, and aging.

Both pimples, pustules and blackheads are considered spots caused by clogged pores. The spots can appear anywhere on the body, but they usually appear on the face, neck, shoulders, and back.

The market is full of products that combat these stains but most of the products are expensive and / or have chemicals.

This is a list of natural products with which you can combat these spots as well as pamper and nourish your skin.

1.- Lemon juice

Lemon juice gives color to our skin in addition to reducing the number of blackheads and hyperpigmentation. Its high content of citric acid exfoliates the skin, removes excess oil (sebum), and kills the bacteria that cause acne.

How to use: Apply fresh, freshly squeezed lemon juice to the skin and allow it to work for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. This process must be repeated daily (or 3-4 times a week) for about a month.

Observations: The juice can be combined with organic honey, or tomato juice in equal parts for greater exfoliation.

2.- Tomato Juice

Tomato juice is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants. This makes it an excellent natural remedy for skin blemishes, as well as a great revitalizer. In addition, it helps to tighten pores and heal acne thanks to its astringent properties.

Tomatoes are also good for lowering the level of tanning on the skin, thanks to their high lycopene content.

How to use: Massage the skin with tomato pulp. Let it sit on the skin for 10-15 minutes and then rinse. Repeat the process daily for a month or until you achieve the desired results.

Observations: To show off an even healthier skin we can add fresh tomatoes to our diet.

3.- Potato

Potato juice contains starch that helps reduce pigmentation as well as the dark spots that sometimes appear under the eyes.

How to use: Peel and grate a potato, and extract the juice using a fine strainer or cheesecloth.

Soak a cotton ball in the potato juice and apply it to the skin. Let the potato juice work on your skin for 20 minutes before rinsing your face. Repeat the process daily for a month or until you are satisfied with the results.

4.- Aloe vera

Aloe vera gel contains polysaccharides that stimulate the growth of new skin cells and help heal scars and blemishes. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that benefit acne treatment.

How to use:

Extract the fresh aloe vera gel from the aloe leaf and apply to the skin. Let the gel take effect until it dries (once it dries you can rinse the skin). Repeat the treatment daily for a month.

Observations: For a greater effect and to avoid having to do it daily (instead of daily, 3 or 4 a week) we can create a mixture with 2 tablespoons of aloe, a small spoonful of lemon and a small spoonful of sugar. Apply the mixture to the skin, massage in, and rinse after 15-20 minutes.
